South Carolina DJJ Juvenile Correction Officer Alicia Johnson: Contraband and Arrest

The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (South Carolina DJJ) reported that Alicia Johnson, a juvenile correctional officer who worked at the detention center, was arrested for giving contraband to minor detainees.

Following the findings of an inquiry, Johnson, age 23, was terminated from her employment as a juvenile correction officer in South Carolina, according to the Department of Juvenile Justice. The investigation indicated that she supplied juveniles at the facility with vape pens.

She was taken into custody and charged with misconduct in office and adult providing contraband to a juvenile while in the custody of the South Carolina DJJ.

According to the officials, Johnson is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center at the present time.
